Hypnosis can help. I have known about hypnosis and the possibilities for change, for quite a long time in my professional life. Many have told me over the years, “you have a great voice for doing hypnosis”. I shrugged it off, mostly thinking that they were complimenting me not so much on my voice, but more for the soothing tone and unconditional, positive regard that I hold for those I work with and meet in life.
Until February 2023. I took my first hypnosis certification course, offered by the Wellness Institute in Idaho. It was an intensive class, lasting six 10-hour days offering and experiencing age-regression hypnosis. Needless to say that I was both exhausted and exhilarated at the prospect for exploring more deeply, with clients, parts of their biography that is holding them back, unconsciously. This provided me with certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist as well as an Age-Regression Hypnotherapist.
In July 2023, I enrolled in the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy, and was certified in October 2023 and since then have gone on to learn many other modalities within the hypnosis model to help both my adult and child clients.
There are many myths about hypnosis that are important to know. Of course, in my work with people, the hypnosis is nothing like what you might have seen for stage/entertainment hypnosis purposes. People are often afraid that they will lose control. In fact, people are often surprised how much control they do have. For example, if they wanted to they, of course, can open their eyes throughout the session.
Generally, most people feel as if they have experienced a guided imagery session. They feel relaxed but not tired, and wake up feeling more alert and optimistic about their journey going forward.
Often people ask me how I use hypnosis with children. Children under 7 are generally in a state of consciousness that makes them much more open to suggestions, through simple storytelling.
As a parent, we can actually get skilled at using hypnotic suggestions with our children. I am here to help you on that journey.
